Wonderful Worlds
July 12th - 16th *** DEADLINE JUNE 15th ***

A 1 week course at Dauntsey's school (Wiltshire), for ages 13-19 yrs. This course will explore the act of storytelling as a way of developing the imagination and communicating imaginary worlds to an audience. It will consist of a selection of workshops aimed at strengthening the skills of students who are keen to express themselves better as storytellers. Introductions to Film-making
August 2nd - 6th *** DEADLINE JULY 1ST ***

A 1 week course at Dauntsey's school (Wiltshire) for ages 15-19 yrs. This course is designed for students who want to learn more about film-making. You may be a budding performer who wants to try acting in front of a camera or you may want to learn more about directing and/or writing for film. This is a great practical introductory course where you'll get hands on experience and a credit to your name. You will be supported by a professionally trained director and screen actress, both of whom aim to encourage and guide you through the process. Easter Courses

Myths on Madness - The Nightingale and the Rose
February - April

We plan to continue our Myths on Madness series' with a re-interpretation of Oscar Wilde's The Nightingale and the Rose explored through a series of still photographs. As before we will use a small cast and shoot in selected locations all over London.

Christmas Courses

Myths on Madness - Adventures in Wonderland inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland
October - November

We worked with a group of actors exploring the story and characters and taking a modern twist. Two professional make-up artists, now on board with us for the long term, were also involved. Much of the work was improvised and we were pleased with the results. To see the photo's please visit the Resources page.

Acting Intensive (1 week)
December 14th-18th

This course was concentrated around work on a chosen play, cast in the first couple of days of workshopping. We worked intensively with the actors, building up their performance skills. It was based on character and relationship work with a private showing of the performance at the end of the week. All students were given main roles. [The students who sought representation were able to invite agents to the performance.

The students worked from 10am-4pm everyday

Christmas Course

WHO WE ARE

Foundations for the Future (one week course for young actors)
August 10th-14th

This course allowed each student to introduce themselves to difference ways of accessing character for performance and it also allowed those really interested in pursuing a career in acting to find out more about where to go from here and what to prepare for. As an extra bonus the students left the course with

  • A folio photo shoot (one printed 10 by 8 printed photograph with the option of printing more)
  • A worked plan for the future
  • A performance at the end of the week
  • A final report

This year we had a very talented group of young actors and both course tutors were very impressed with the development of all of them over the short span of a week. Please take a look at the photo's and video under Resources to see what they got up to.

The students work from 10am-4pm everyday (Mon-Fri)
